One forgets small things as they get older.

It is hard spending a 4 degree F night alone. Not able to depend and provide warm to another. That unspoken closeness that we sometime take for granted.

    Where have I been
I guess it has been at least over a year and a half since I have posted anything to this journal. It is safe to say that I have been closed off to the outside world and this journal. Why? I believe I just been holding everything in for a long time. So you might want to duck for cover. I am not looking for sympathy, pity, understanding, reasoning or anything in general. Just looking for a place to put all this crap that I have been carrying around for awhile.

In the end here is my pride and joy. After having work on various Government Building in the city it is a joy to see something that I help design get built. It is the proudest project I have work on to date. Here is a web cam view of the construction site for the Arena Stage Theater.

Where did they put the update button.
Yeah it's been awhile since I updated here. Nothing major happening just a ton of work and what not.

For those of you going to Providence this year just got done booking my hotel at priceline.com with there name your price feature. It worked really well 2 years ago for me.

I was able to get it for 60 bucks a night. But the catch is it isn't refundable and I wasn't able to pick which hotel, just was the first one to accept my offer. And they charge your card right away. If you can deal with that it probably the best way to go, you'll save atleast 50%.

Went with 60 bucks a night(you might want to try it for less), 2 1/2 stars option

The hotel I got was a 3 star.

    http://www.radisson.com/hoteldirectory/hotelbio.jsp?hotelCode=RIPROHAR&hotelBrandCode=RAD&key=hoteldirectory.info.&origin=Hotel%20Directory&backURI=http:%2F%2Fwww.radisson.com%2Freservation%2FhotelPreference.do%3FlocationUni%3D1120%26dno%3D07110607120610

It's 2.3 miles from the venue. Not as close as the past 2 years but we'll deal with it.

Well I'm all booked, see some of you there. Hope everyone doing well.

Oh can't end the entry without saying the Italians did me proud. :)

I, the Penis, hereby request a raise in salary for the following
    reasons:

    -I do physical labor.
    -I work at great depths.
-I plunge headfirst into everything I do.
-I do not get weekends or public holidays off.
-I work in a damp environment.
-I work in a dark workplace that has poor ventilation.
    -I work in high temperatures.
-My work exposes me to contagious diseases.

    THE RESPONSE.....

    Dear Penis,

After assessing your request, and considering the arguments you have raised,
the administration rejects your request for the following
    reasons:

-You do not work 8 straight hours.
-You fall asleep after brief work periods.
-You do not always follow orders of the management team.
-You do not stay in your designated area and are often seen visiting
    other locations.
    -You do not take initiative.
-Youneed to be pressured and stimulated in order to start working.
-You leave the workplace rather messy at the end of your shift.
-You don't always observe necessary safety requirements, such as wearing the
    correct protective clothing.
-You will retire well before you are 65.
-You are unable to work double shifts.
-You sometimes leave your designated work area before you have completed the
    assigned task.

And if that were NOT ALL, you have been seen constantly entering and exiting
the workplace carrying two suspicious looking bags.

    Sincerely,
    The Management

Head hurts, body hurts, I wanna sleep for a few days straight. I think I am still dehydrated. I'll blame that on Jerome, No a/c and Wild Turkey.

Providence was great, but damn that evil hurricane that pushed that wicked weather over there. It was great see friends old and new. And the efforts of Peter, the bands, labels and the peeps made it all worth it.

Most of my afternoon has been spent throwing away things at the office. It is very refreshing to toss a ton of old things out. And origination makes life easier.

With the project starting to wrap up I'm filled with a feeling of accomplishment. It has resulted in a good mood that past few days. Something that I have struggled with for awhile.

The past week I have failed with my first crock-pot cooking experiment. It didn't turn out awful but didn't get my desired result. Hopefully will be experimenting more with that.

Also I found out in the past week I will be moving again. It is a complex situation that I am not very happy with. Most it had to do with change, something I always tend to fight. I am trying to keep a positive outlook on it, and hopefully my roommate doesn't turn too anal while he trying to sell the house in which we currently live. Hopefully it will be over soon. I’m still not sure how I will settle in at the new place. Hopefully I’ll find a positive solution sometime in the near future. Just seems to be tension in the house since the new roommate moved it. I could go on but won't.

Hopefully this cleaning/organization kick will last for a while. I tend to hang on thing I don't need to long.

So I finally found a internet connection at the hotel.

Hmmmmmmmm what have I learn this week.

    a. Milwaukee is pretty damn cool

Thanks KIM for all your hospitallity. You rock.

    Everyone is super friendly there.

The Ganja crew for the hook up.

Everyone there gets super wrecked, or perhaps it was just me super wrecked.

    b. Madison is pretty wacked.

The week start off on a bang Sunday rolling to Madison when we stop next to a car at a stop light. Evidently this fool thought it was important to roll down his window to let us know that he had really cool rims on his car that spun around while his car was stop. Of course the wheels where attach to a mid 90's crown vic. Eiiiii

The people are weird. Just can't get used to the accents and the slow pace of everyone here. It's hard to explain.

Then to top things off we found a grill your own Steak house, Prime Quarter. After find this out we went with the letting the chef doing the grilling option.

Kind of ready to get home and get back to the normal pace of things. Just want to bang my head against a wall sitting thru this class.
